LG Infinia 60PZ950 Plasma HDTV Review

This review is from: LG Infinia 60PZ950 60-Inch 1080p 600Hz Active 3D THX Certified Plasma HDTV with TruBlack Filter and Smart TV (Electronics)

After pouring through different reviews, forums and any other info I could find on the latest and greatest for 2011, I narrowed my search down to the Panasonic GT30/VT30's or the LGPZ950. I saw a lot of good things about the VT30 from Panasonic but it seemed like the new LGs had a lot of the same features and some extras. The price was right and it was available while the panasonics still had a ways to go before launch so I took the plunge and ordered the LG. Sooooo glad I did. This TV is awesome. Set up was a breeze. The set looks beautiful. Sleek and seamless. The picture is as good or better than anything I've ever seen. Both 2D and 3D look amazing and i didnt get dizzy at all watching 3D like i do in the theaters or on other TVs I've seen at the big box stores.

The apps and media share are great features. The UI in the home screen is very easy to navigate. Setting up wireless connection was also very easy. Everything just kind of worked right out of the box. Integrated Netflix and YouTube is a nice touch, not to mention all the other apps for your social networking. I don't know how much I'll use that stuff since it's way easier just to check those things on a computer really quick, but the option of being able to do it on your TV is nice. The web browser is ok, definitely not going replace your laptop or PC but good enough if you don't want to get up and go to your other tech to look something up or post an update.

I am very pleased with this purchase. I may just be in the honeymoon phase but it is definitely a lot more than I expected. Cheers to LG for a great TV at a very reasonable price. This TV has everything one could want - THX, ISF, many applications, and various av methods at an excellent cost. The TV looks excellent. The dark-colored is a little less than I estimated and the image expert requires some adjusting. All and all image is awesome.

The issue with the TV is when viewing a 3D image. First it says put on your eyeglasses - which is excellent but the box never seems to go away unless you click the distant ok switch. A minimal gripe but it was bothersome. The second issue is the eyeglasses that come with the TV - they convert off every 10 minutes. Yes it's a reported function. I known as LG and the service rep informed me they were clearly faulty. After I talked about the records he discussed to the technology office who verified they did convert off. They informed me I would have to come back the eyeglasses for a new couple that is program degree .64 (the present ones are .63). When I requested if Amazon would know to present me the right degree they said unlikely as the eyeglasses are not available and no store has them. When I requested for an eta I was informed that there wasn't one.

LG Infinia 55LW6500 Cinema 3D LED-LCD HDTV I really like the image and the TV is a excellent measurements but I can't have a 3D TV that makes you to convert on the eyeglasses every 10 minutes. It really stops the viewing practical knowledge to go from a exciting occurrence to a unclear image. I've get in touch with LG service several moments. Their service is irregular at best. They say phone again the next day, we will get again to you, and sometimes they just don't reply.
